Our authors aren’t always behind the computer or under the hood—they find time for camaraderie and promotion, too! Tim Remus, Steve Reyes and Steve Magnate recently appeared on automotive talk show, MotorMouth Radio, in New York City. Listen to their interviews with show hosts Ray Guarino and Chris Switzer.
Author of Funny Car Fever and The Dawn of Pro Stock, Steve Reyes talks about his history photographing drag racing events and the stories he puts down on paper in his books. During his interview with Motor Mouth Radio in February, he recalls when drivers wore jeans and sneakers instead of fire-retardant suits and talks about engine parts from blown up cars hitting him on the track. Luckily he walked away with only bruises from those fast-flying car parts!
Listen to Steve’s interview here, it begins about 32 minutes into the show.
Author, columnist, and Barrett-Jackson commentator Steve Magnante shares some of his encyclopedia-like knowledge with Motor Mouth radio listeners in March. Hear Steve talk about the nostalgia and comeback of muscle cars, altered wheelbase cars, and his project cars the Wilshire Shaker, a ’63 Nova, and the Rampage, a ’63 Dart. Steve’s new book, Steve Magnante’s 1001 Muscle Car Facts, will be released in June.
Steve’s interview with the motor mouths begins about 18 minutes into the show. Listen here.
Local (to us here in Minnesota) author and owner of Wolfgang Publications, Tim Remus, talks about the current phenomenon of building your own bike affordably using his step-by-step guides, How to Build a Cheap Chopper, How to Build the Ultimate VTwin Motorcycle, and How to Build a Café Racer. Vowing that a photo is really worth a thousand words, Remus’ books contain lots of photos of builds for reference.
Tim’s interview with the MotorMouth Radio hosts begins about 33 minutes into the show. Listen here.
