CarTech author Bob McClurg says he writes best under pressure. Guess all that pressure has created some pretty great books! McClurg has written half a dozen books for us here at CarTech and many others in the past.

McClurg recently appeared on Driver's Talk Radio with show host Rick Titus to talk about some of those books. 

McClurg was made famous by his racing photographs in the 1960s. One of the single most famous drag racing photos was taken from a 10-foot ladder at the side of the track: He caught a fuel altered turned sideways going down the race track. It was a dangerous situation that sent others running but McClurg stayed on the ladder snapping pics of the out-of-control car. Bob considers this one of his signature photos. It, and hundreds of others, appears in the paperback version of his best-selling Diggers, Funnies, Gassers and Altereds.

McClurg and Driver's Talk Radio host Titus talk about the reprinted Yenko book, which tells the story of the man behind the legendary cars. They also talked about the forthcoming Tasca Ford book that will be released in June. The Tasca Ford Legacy shares the history of the dealership from the early days of getting started through performance-drag racing and road racing today.
